still the same satisfying joint after not having it for 20 years! i had to drop off my dad at flemings on colorado and thought i'd pick up some food in pasadena on the way home. i used to live and work in the area in the early 20 aughts and haven't had tops burger since i moved so i thought i'd pick some up for nostalgia and admittedly wanted to see how they held up after reading some lackluster reviews. surprisingly there wasn't a line at the drive thru at all like there used to be which was good. i got a carne asada burrito w extra cheese and chili cheese fries with raw onions, one of my go to orders back in the day. (oh and a large orange bang too!) they do charge a little more for credit (not sure if its the same for debit) but the charge is pennies to the dollar so its not too bad. the food was just as i remembered. it didn't seem like they changed their recipes at all. asada burrito had good steak chunks full of flavor, cheese, and pico de gallo. not a big deal, but there was no extra cheese in it. it seemed that the extra cheese wound up in the chili cheese fries and there were no raw onions- still delicious so i wasn't upset at all. glad that a place i used to frequent and enjoy has not changed too much! hope to return again for some more comfort food!

Great prices and generous portions. I tried the chili cheese fries and the pastrami burger--both were excellent. There's plenty of seating inside, and it's self-seating. An indoor restroom is available, and there's a drive-through option. The employees were quick and efficient.

Outdated/rundown interior. The bathroom was gross, The prices are fair and reasonable and there are no low-calorie options here! The California chili spaghetti was fulfilling but not quite as good as the original Cincinnati chili of which it is a copy cat. My daughter loved the burrito and the kids burger and fries came with to a generously-sized fountain drink. The pastrami sandwich was soggy and the meat was fatty. The free refills on fountain drinks was great.

I've lived in Pasadena over 15 years but had yet to try Tops. I've been on keto and was craving a yummy juicy filling burger. I looked on Yelp for what would be a great option for keto and found that Tops has an avocado bacon burger that I can get lettuce wrapped! It was really good and filling! Be sure to ask for chili peppers on the side! They are spicy and soo good!!

I don't eat fast food a lot but Tops is always good. A Pasadena gem for sure. Very good quality food and it tastes very delicious! I always order the fish burger with only ketchup and cheese. It's always very fresh and hot. My friend ordered the bacon and avocado burger and it looked quite scrumptious. This is definitely somewhere you can go after a game to have good food, breakfast or lunch. The service is always good and they make sure your order is right. I've never really had my order messed up here. The ambiance is not to fancy nor modern. They can go for upgrades and better seating furniture, but I guess they like that original look. However, it's pretty spacious Inside with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. The parking is pretty small but it's parking available. Overall, I will continue to come to Tops and I highly recommend!! They have a huge menu selection with variety of foods to choose from. -Marshay D.
